ok i’m done with this one for now. it’s just a shell for now no decor XD. i’m going to have to come back to it though i have too much of a mix of arches/windows. was trying to emulate the boston public library ‘cause i liked it during my inspiration search. oh well. #sims3buildlimitations

that moment when you find an awesome download on a simblr, heart it, download it in game, GAME FAILS, test in dashboard, and then realize it’s sims 2 stuff.
in my defense the download blog says NOTHING about which game they predominantly create for but when i went back to check the pics looked very 2ish XD lol. ridic.

Leaside - Leaside Public Library
soo slowly moving along with Leaside. It’s been weeks and all i have is a park, a city hall, and a library shell. none of which are done because i will never be satisfied.
so have a shitty CAW pic complete with yellow lines and bad camera angles. meh.
i’m about to go fully in game with my cc to finish this. my world will be FULL of cc because there’s nothing complete with the build/buy sets EA has provided. i can’t even show the front yet because it’s like so bad mix of styles right now. oh well i hadn’t planned on sharing it for this reason anyway.

Some items you may remember.
ok i know it’s possible to extract objects from EA store worlds and make them show up in CAW Metadata. HOWEVER is it also possible make it so they’re “base game compatible” so you don’t have to have the dumb laggy world installed just to use said objects? i’d love to extract a bunch from different worlds but i’m so not having all those worlds installed just for an object or two per world. hmm…
god that was a mouthful but i hope it made sense.

i finally got past CAS. turns out i missed a second step after making all game .exes LAA, i didn’t go into advanced system settings and force the computer to do the same *is dolt*. anyway by the time i got my junk together it was so late i could barely keep my eyes open. this is all i could come up with. no real plan or story just laura jean about to head to uni. appaloosa plains is gorgeous but i miss bridgeport. :(
edit: ok wow. that moment when you realize you forgot to CAST a certain part of a sims outfit. WHAT IS WITH THOSE WHITE LAPELS OK. gross XD
thanks lovely TSD ladies for your help with my game and listening to me whine lol. i’m affraid to even jinx it but i managed to get past CAS and got lauren jean hall into appaloosa plains for a minute before bed. i usually start by clawing through all the new build/buy items i got about halfway through and i’m pumped! weeeee….

Windowed mode is known to cause issues for most people. Maybe try full windowed mode and tabbing out? Hope you get things to work though.
ah i did not think of this! i think i’ve seen it hinted at but i dismissed it ‘cause i don’t like being trapped in the game O___O. sigh… we’ll see if i can manage it. thanks!

there’s a tut on the sims 3 wiki from MTS. it’s pretty straight forward it turns out i missed a step where you have to go into computer advanced settings to also force laa. i think it worked i was able to go in last night finally at like midnight O__O.
just prefacing my replies by saying sorry but i get a bit sweary when i’m mad lol. at least i have 30 days to return the games if i really can’t fix it and want my damn money back. #firstworldproblems. thanks for your suggestions guys! <3<3<3

Thats really odd. I hate asking this because its the go-to troubleshooting problem, but have you tried taking out all your CC folders to see if itll play?
i hadn’t done that yet actually. i really can’t play without at least cas cc though as the sims are hella ugly LOL. i downloaded a crash log analyzer and it turns out it’s large address aware issue. now i need to find out why it’s not working since i’ve already made all game executables LAA with that program. i may need to try another one?

Sorry to hear that. What helps me is having nothing else running and using programs like Advanced SystemCare 6. Hope it starts to work soon!
you may be right with that. i tend to run in windowed mode and have a tv show streaming + 20 other websites tabbed and sometimes i’ll have photoshop going to paste screenshots when i don’t have in-game screen cap option. probably not the best idea my poor computer XD. thanks for the advise!

i actually decided to download the Crash Log Analyzer by FordGT90Concept at MTS. turns out it’s large address aware issues due to my being on a 32 bit system. however i’ve already clicked a hundred times on all game executables from base to latest EP so it shouldn’t be a problem. at least i fixed my inetrnet! O__O
